This interactive dashboard presents the most recent data on the modal split in Belgium

Vias institute publishes a quarterly dashboard that reflects the most recent developments in mobility in Belgium. The dashboard provides information on the distribution of the modes of transport used for travel in Belgium.

The information is based on an online survey of a sample of 6,000 people for the first six months of 2022 (January to June). The data is compared to the figures for the first six months of previous years.

These respondents constitute, on the basis of their age, gender and place of residence, a representative sample of the Belgian population aged 18 and over. During the survey, respondents were asked about the trips they made the day before. Specifically: what means of transport did they use and how many kilometres did they travel?
