Seize the full potential of teleworking and avoid pitfalls
Teleworking was originally intended as a mean to reduce the time spent on commuting. When used appropriately it has also a positive impact on safety, leads to cost reductions and improves the health and well-being of the employee - remote working can reduce stress which makes people feel better and increases productivity.
People can carry out their professional activities at home, or in satellite offices and have the possibility to use a more flexible time schedule. Remote working offers a possibility to adapt the work patterns to the personal situation of the employee without a negative impact on the employer. Rather the opposite, for many employers teleworking could reduce their struggle with finding qualified staff.
In Nordic countries teleworking is a well-established practice. Until recently this was not the case in Belgium. Due to the outbreak of COVID19, there was a top-down obligation to provide teleworking opportunities with all employers where it was feasible. Following that experience, many enterprises realised that seizing the full potential of teleworking requires developing a clear policy with legal and practical aspects in mind.
Our offer to employers:

How to sustain the team spirit and productive team work? To answer these questions, to anticipate possible issues and to address scenarios tailored to the specific needs of your organisation, we developed two practical workshops for team managers:

Coaching on change management
Resentment towards change in habits and behaviour is a natural phenomenon. To support organisations in the implementation of their teleworking strategy and to address certain specific barriers, Vias provides coaching oriented on behavioural change. Such coaching can be targeted to a specific team or group of people and can be tailored to the individual requests of the company.
Does your company already have an appropriate teleworking policy in place?
Vias offers an assessment of your policy and measures to provide an overall assessment and to identify particular bottlenecks. Based on this assessment, we propose an action plan to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of your teleworking policy.
